AID-Auto pairs an evidential fuel-cell breath test with a continuous cabin sensor and a cellular link. Impaired starts are blocked at the source — and every test reaches your fleet desk in near real time.

TWO SENSORS, ONE GATEWAY
AID-Auto ships as two complementary units. The active breath test is the only authority that decides whether the vehicle may start; the passive cabin sensor only ever adds context. Deploy the active unit on its own, or run both for layered assurance.
Hybrid by design. Only the active breath test can permit or block a start. The passive sensor never gates the vehicle — it is attached to events as a clearly-labelled cabin signal, never the decision.
KEY HIGHLIGHTS
The engineering value is not in reading alcohol — that part is easy — but in reading it accurately, attributing it to the driver, and behaving safely and tamper-evidently in a real vehicle.
Block an impaired start before ignition
Evidential fuel-cell breath accuracy
Fail-safe interlock — only ever prevents starting
Tamper- and bypass-evident by design
Every test logged with timestamp & location
Real-time alerts to your fleet desk
Remote threshold config & log retrieval
Proudly designed & made in India
HOW IT WORKS
Both sensing channels terminate at a shared low-power edge controller. The active result is always the deciding value; the passive cabin reading is attached only as context.
A directed breath, scored against your limit
Directed breath
Driver blows a real, sustained sample. Blow validation rejects ambient air or a substitute source.
Integrate the curve
Firmware captures the current-vs-time curve of the breath and integrates it — never a single instantaneous value.
Compare to threshold
The result maps to a breath-alcohol figure and is compared against your configured, remotely-set limit.
Start-permit decision
Below limit → start-permit enabled. At or above → start withheld, alert raised, event logged.
A continuous read of the cabin air
Sample cabin air
A heated metal-oxide film sits in the cabin atmosphere — no directed sample, no occupant action.
Resistance shifts
Reducing vapour alters the film resistance; firmware reads the relative trend continuously.
Anomaly flag
Crossing a configured baseline raises an "alcohol-like vapour" flag — indicative, not quantitative.
Context only
The flag is attached to events for review. It never permits or blocks a start.
COMPARATIVE ASSESSMENT
The two approaches differ across every attribute that determines suitability for an ignition-gating product. The matrix makes the division of labour explicit.
FLEET MANAGEMENT
Cellular SIM connectivity turns each local decision into a remotely-auditable event. Pass, fail or abort — with timestamp and location — reaches the AID-IOT fleet portal in near real time, with instant alerts on a failed test or a tamper condition.

Note · The start-permit ignition interlock is an optional add-on. There is presently no statutory mandate in India compelling alcohol interlocks on private vehicles — making the accurate active channel, not the ambient passive channel, the authority for any start decision.
